How long does it take to transfer my domain name to VodaHost?
Solution

Per ICANN regulations, once the gaining registrar (VodaHost) has received transfer verification from the registrant or administrative contact for the domain(s), the losing registrar has five days to release the domain.

If the domain is not released to by the current registrar within five (5) days the registry will automatically complete the transfer.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The five day pending period begins once the losing registrar has been notified of the transfer request by the global registry. This typically occurs within 12-24 hours after the transfer has been approved by you or your client.

You can view the date and time the transfer was approved from within your account. From the DOMAINS option, select "my transfers". Click the "Submit" button and your most recent transfer orders will display. The date and time under "Transfer Init Date" is the date and time the transfer was verified by either you or your client. The request for transfer was sent to the losing registrar within 24 hours of this date and time.

If you wish to speed up the transfer process, you can contact the current registrar and request that they "ACK" (manually approve) the transfer at the registry level. (Note: Not all registrars are willing to ACK transfer requests.)

For more information regarding the approval and rejection of domain transfers and registrar responsibilities, please refer to ICANN's Transfer Policy at...
